The Dog Beach of Hollywood

The Dog Beach of Hollywood was formed by a group of Hollywood residents & dog advocates in South Florida in September 2006 for the specific purpose of establishing a section of Hollywood Beach where well-behaved dogs and their responsible owners could exercise and enjoy a clean and safe beach environment. DBOH was given a trial period and on April 3, 2008 an ordinance passed & the Dog Beach of Hollywood became a permanent Dog Beach. This section of designated beach is now monitored by a park ranger paid by the City of Hollywood. DBOH is no longer responsible for monitoring the Dog Beach but we continue to encourage dog beach etiquette to all visitors & residents.
No aggressive dogs will be tolerated, and owners must pick up their pet's waste. Dogs must remain within the designated boundaries. DBOH is sensitive to sea turtle nesting areas and educational literature will be available from the park ranger.
